My greatest source of comfort and happiness is my faith...which helps me realize that ALL things work together for my good...even the things that may not seem like such a blessing at the time. I leave you with this scripture that I hope will bring you as much peace as it does to me and that you will be filled with gratitude this day for all the things you are blessed with...even the things that don't seem like such a blessing. Hi all! What are you remembering today?! I am so thankful for ALL the memories in my life. If you really think about it...isn't memory such a gift from God? I love how certain sights and smells and sounds and tastes can transport me back in time and bring me to a lovely memory. Some memories might not be as pleasant, but are still of such value with the lessons we learn from them. I am happy to say that THE GREAT MAJORITY of my memories are WONDERFUL!! What a good life it is and I am so blessed as I look back and remember. I remember when I first opened my goodie box that contained the Pink Rose Cottage kit. My first response was GASP! So FAB! Hi all! Just wanted to share a few photos today of Miss Alena from her Sadie's date on Saturday. Sadie's is a school dance here where the girl asks the boy. It is a casual dance and prior to the dance a whole group of friends spends the day together doing fun things. She had a really fun time is she is just growing up so fast.
I think her favorite part of the date was having these pictures taken. haha. Yep, my girls are not camera shy. Hope you are having a fun day wherever you may be!

Hi all! Happy Saturday! I just wanted to share a recipe with you that I made earlier this week that is SO EASY, you will probably have all the INGREDIENTS ON HAND, and is SCRUMPTIOUS!!! It is cinnamon roll cake and I think it could quite possibly be even more divine the day after you make it. You might want to try it out for brunch this weekend. I originally saw it on Pinterest and the recipe is found HERE on this blog. Here is the recipe:
3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Mix everything together except for the butter. Slowly stir in the melted butter and pour into a greased 9x13 pan. For the topping, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Drop evenly over the batter and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 for 28-32 minutes.

This kit is PERFECT for EVERY project...feminine projects for sure, for sure...but it is PERFECT for masculine projects as well. I thought it was JUST RIGHT for this sweet photo of my daughter and sweet grandson. (Photo by Heather Taylor) I find these colors are sublime for any occasion:

“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.” ― Gordon B. Hinckley
