Tu Tu Adorable *Digital Doodles*

The title of this is borrowed from my friend Barb G's lo Tu Tu Cute. As soon as I saw that title I knew I wanted to scrap this pic of my little granddaughter in this tutu. I also knew that Kathy Martin's Flutter Bug digi stamp would be a perfect pairing with that pic. I just love that you can customize the colors and size for any project you want. They are also tu tu adorable. Have a fantabulous day all!!!

Lovin' My Life with GCD Studios**tutorial included**

I'm back again with another project from GCD Studios! This one includes a tutorial.
I just celebrated my 49th birthday a couple of days ago and am just so lovin' the life the good Lord has blessed me with. I wanted to celebrate it with this lo:

I just LOVE the happy look these GCD Studios products bring because it is exactly how I feel about my life! Now I would like to share how the flowers on this layout were made. They are sooooooo easy and you don't have to look any farther than your first aid kit and pantry to create them. Yes, you read that right...your first aid kit and your pantry. Those flowers are created from.........................gauze!
It makes such a perfectly light and airy and texturely fabulous flower. You can leave them white if you like or you can dye them to create gorgeous yummy colors. This is where the pantry part comes in. I dyed some with Kool-Aid and some with food coloring. It's kinda like dying Easter eggs. You can also use alcohol ink. Want to know how?!! Well, here is your tutorial:

Look at all the loveliness you can create:

Here are some close-ups:

I hope you all feel like celebrating your life today! Hugs, Cheryl

Take Me Away *City Crafter Challenge Blog*

Hi all!! Do you ever just want to be taken away? Well, come join me for a Venice inspired challenge at City Crafter Challenge blog. This week you can create a project that is based on Venice, or use sheet music, or use the colors found in the inspiration photo. My card is loosely based on all three. Since Venice is known for their gondolas and the basket of a hot air balloon is also referred to as a gondola...I used a hot air balloon for the Venice portion; I used the gold found in the inspiration photo and used sheet music. I hope you will play along with us this week! I look forward to seeing your creations! I've just spent a fantabulous weekend being taken away to visit my daughter and have a few more excursions planned for this summer. Do you all having any plans to be taken away? I hope everyone has wonderful summer adventures planned. Hugs, Cheryl

Ties That Bind *GCD Studios June Theme*

Hi all!! Our GCD Studios theme for June was based on ties. With a son named, Ty, this theme was a perfect fit for me. Here is my project:

The photo on the layout has always been a favorite of mine. It was taken when Ty was just eight years old. When I look at it I see so much. I see him as a boy wanting to be a missionary for our church, I see him today fulfilling that dream and serving as a missionary in Spokane, Washington and I see him in the future becoming a righteous husband and father. I see the ties that bind us together as a forever family. It was a very meaningful thing for me to create this layout. It all started here with this inspiration piece:

I love the subtle masculine look that these GCD Studio papers provided. Here are some close ups of the project:

I hope you enjoy this month with the ties that bind you to those you love. Hugs, Cheryl
